We want to get your colours as organized as possible. We can move quicker and be more accurate if you know what you want and where you want it! This will also be helpful in the future for record keeping.

If you already know the colours you are wanting to work with, please fill in the colour chart on page 2 with your selected colours and the areas you would like the paint colour applied.

Interior:

Pride Painting's Recommendations for Interior Finishes / Sheens and where to use them.

Walls – Matte
Ceilings – Flat

Bathrooms – Matte or Eggshell / Satin
Trim / Doors – Satin or Semi Gloss

Exterior:

Siding – Flat or Low Sheen
Trim / Doors – Satin or Semi Gloss.

Note: Each paint manufacturer has varying degrees of sheen to their paint. Your Sales Representative will be able to best guide you through approximately what sheen is on your walls currently.

Stain:

Important notes when working with stain.

Semi Transparent: On surfaces that are New or in good condition.
Solid Stain: Tired looking Fences, Decks or Gables that have not been maintained in years.

Note: Semi-transparent stain enhances the natural grain for a more "woodsy" look, but colour can shift more with sun exposure and the wood's condition. Solid-hide stain delivers a more uniform, paint-like finish that better hides weathering and old colour, but you'll see little to no grain. For the best appearance, keep in mind your board condition, sun exposure, and how consistent you want the final colour to look.

Changes After Submission

Please note:

  • Colour changes after work has started may result in additional costs and schedule changes.
  • Any updates to colours or sheens must be submitted in writing (vic.office@pridepainting.ca).
  • Final colour approval is required before paint is ordered.

I understand that colour matches that are completed are not 100% perfect. I accept they may be up to 97% Accurate but never perfect. If I expect it to be exactly as described, I will request to use paint from the manufacturer the colour / code is made from.
